Leggat McCall Properties was engaged as the owner’s project manager for this complete gut renovation and expansion of an existing 540,000 SF industrial/retail building. LMP oversaw the design-build contractor and all permitting requirements for the project that would allow for New England Confectionery Company’s (NECCO) relocation and consolidation from three other locations.

The existing building was modernized and expanded with the addition of 240,000 SF of interstitial floor space and a 6-megawatt cogeneration plant. All new MEP, FP, and PP (process piping) systems were needed to meet NECCO’s needs. The project involved significant process piping work and relocation of equipment from previous locations.
